Making a Reservation
A man calls a hotel to make a reservation for his tech conference in Miami Florida.
Hotel Reception:
Good afternoon. Hotel Las Palmas, Reception.
How may I help you?
Guest:
Hi, I'd like to book a room for next Sunday.
Hotel Reception:
Do you want a double bedded room or a single bed.
Guest:
A single bed, would be fine.
Hotel Reception:
I'm sorry, it looks like we don't have any single bed rooms available for next Sunday.
Guest
Oh, well, that's too bad. How about double bedded?
Hotel Reception:
Let me see, ah yes, it seems we have one left. Shall I make the reservation?
Guest:
Yes, please. How much would that be?
Hotel Reception:
The price for a double bedded room is $120 a night.
Guest:
That's pretty expensive.
Hotel Reception:
Frankly, we're one of the cheaper ones in the area. In addition, you'll be glad to hear that the price includes breakfast and a complementary cocktail on arrival.
Guest:
Is that so. Well, alright then, I guess I'll take the double bedded room.
Do you accept credit cards?
Hotel Reception:
Yes, of course. You can pay when you arrive at the hotel.
Guest:
Okay great, do you need me to make a deposit to hold the reservation.
Hotel Reception:
No sir, that won't be necessary.
Guest:
Ok, thanks a lot.
